Creating a Grow Cycle

In this article we will discuss how to:

• Create a new grow cycle
• Create additional grow cycles

You can have as many active grow cycles as your MicroFarm has the capacity to grow. Capacity means how many trays you can have on the grow simultaneously, and is determined by the number of MicroFarms you have registered.

• A Single MicroFarm (one shelf) has a capacity of 1 full tray or 2 half trays 
• A Double MicroFarm (two shelves) has a capacity of 2 full trays, 4 half trays, or 1 full tray + 2 half trays
• A Triple MicroFarm (three shelves) has a capacity of 3 full trays, 6 half trays, 2 full trays and 3 half trays, or 1 full tray and 4 half trays

To Create a New Grow Cycle

1. On your SowYummy App, go to your Home Dashboard
2. Click the New Grow Cycle button
3. Select the microgreen you would like to grow
4. Click Select your tray size 
5. Select the MicroFarm and tray size you would like to grow
   • If you don't have the space on your MicroFarm to grow a particular tray size, it will be marked with the following message: 

1. Click Continue to Checklist
2. Review the checklist and assemble your supplies
   • It is not necessary to check off the items you have, but it may help you to see if you are missing anything 
   • Items marked with a star are essential
3. If you are ready to create the grow cycle, continue to step 11. If you are purchasing supplies, continue to the next step.
4. Click Order Items, you will be redirected to our online store
5. Complete the purchase of the items you are missing, then click the large X in the top left corner of the screen to close the online store, you will be returned to the app
   • If the items you ordered are not essential and you want to continue with planting, complete all the remaining steps
   • If the items you ordered are essential, wait to continue with planting until you receive them, complete only step 11 to save your progress, then wait to continue until you receive your order
6. Click Create Grow Cycle, your Grow Cycle will be saved and you will be redirected to your Home Dashboard
7. Click the Grow Cycle you want to proceed with - the Current Task will be Ready to Sow, and the Grow Cycle Status will be Start Growing
8. Follow the Steps to complete the first Task of your Grow Cycle
   • Each Task consists of one or more Steps
   • Each Step contains detailed instructions, and can contain visual aids and/or a Grow Tip with additional information
   • Swipe left after completing each Step
9. Once you completed the final Step of the Task, click Done

You are done! When its time for the next Task, you will receive a Task Notification on your smartphone

To Create Additional Grow Cycles

To create additional Grow Cycles, repeat the steps above.

Grow Cycles are displayed on your Home Dashboard in sequence from Oldest (on top) to Newest (on bottom).
