What is a "serving" and how do you calculate it?

Microgreens come in a diversity of sizes and weights. Because of this we feel that gauging their amount by serving size vs weight or volume makes more sense. It also simplifies following recipes, and gauging how much you are growing and ingesting.

Our servings calculation is simple:

A Full tray (1020 size) will provide you with 8 servings of microgreens:

Arugula microgreens

A Half tray (1010 size) will provide you with 4 servings:

Garlic Chive microgreens

Depending on the microgreen variety you are growing the volume or weight of a serving can vary greatly. For example, an avergae serving of Arugula microgreens weighs approximately 12 grams, while an average serving of Garlic Chive microgreens weighs approximately 50 grams.
